Schulze Family Foundation Scholarships
The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation has developed Early Learning Scholarships to assist middle-income families in gaining access for their children to excellent Catholic preschool programs. Scholarships range from $500 to $3000 depending on tuition, income, household size and need. Applicants must be preschool children who will be attending a Catholic preschool, such as St. Jerome, in the year prior to starting kindergarten.
ThinkSmall Early Learning Scholarships
ThinkSmall Scholarships are available for low-income families seeking assistance to attend high-quality early childhood education programs. St. Jerome Preschool is a 4-star Parent Aware Program (the highest rating). Families who qualify can receive a scholarship that covers all tuition and expenses in full. Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
The State of Minnesota offers direct financial help for families of lower incomes through child care assistance programs. St. Jerome Preschool partners with Ramsey and Washington County Child Care Assistance Programs. Please call your local child care assistance office for more information and to apply: Ramsey County residents: 651-641-6665. Washington County residents: 651-430-6459.
Pioneer Foundation for the Performing Arts (PFFPA)
The Pioneer Foundation for the Performing Arts (PFFPA) offers St. Jerome families the opportunity to earn tuition credit through volunteer work at major events in the St. Paul and Minneapolis area. Volunteers staff Papa Pete’s Mini Donuts stands at Saints, Twins, Wild, Timberwolves, Frost, and Lynx games, as well as concerts, shows, tournaments, and other special events. They may also work at the Foxhole BINGO Lounge, operated by the Hill-Murray Fathers Club.
In exchange for your time, PFFPA applies your earnings directly toward your child’s tuition. Individuals age 18 and older qualify to work these events. There is no minimum or maximum commitment, and parking expenses are reimbursed. Pay ranges from $13–$15 per hour plus tips, depending on the event.
