Principal

Mrs. Anne Gattman -Principal I am thrilled to be serving as the school principal here at St. Jerome. Our mighty school and our dear students are in my heart. I am confident, as we begin a new year, that our fabulous staff and committed families will continue to provide an enriching, nurturing and excellent education to our students. We are on a wonderful journey as we transition to a classical model and welcome even more students. It is very exciting! I am a graduate of St. Mary's College and the University of St. Thomas. I have a B.A. in Elementary Ed and Psychology, a M.A.in Curriculum and Instruction and K-12 Principal Licensure from Hamline University. I taught and held various roles in the St. Paul Public Schools before joining the St. Jerome family. My greatest lessons, and joys, have come from my 18+ years as a mom to three fabulous boys, Tim, Peter and Luke, and my life with my husband, Jim. When I am not at St. Jerome, you might find me at the cabin, walking the dog, headed to Indiana to see my parents, or tucked in with a great book. I would love to share our school with you. Please get in touch.

Mrs. Beth Tollefson -School Secretary I’m new to the front office here at St. Jerome! I grew up in White Bear Lake, went to Hill-Murray HS, Washington University in St Louis for undergrad, and got my MBA from the University of St Thomas. I worked as an accountant until I stayed home to raise my children. I live now in Woodbury with my husband, Ross, and our three children: Marybeth, a junior at UW Madison; Kristin, a freshman at UW La Crosse; and Peter, a sophomore at East Ridge HS. I love to read, and spending time on the north shore makes me happy. The people of St Jerome have all been so wonderfully welcoming, and I look forward to getting to know everybody!

My youngest just started college in North Dakota. My education philosophy is all students can learn and grow academically. I like to make learning fun, give students choices, and students feel safe. I believe in using a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners. My expectations for learning are that together with the help of God, we will be happy, be safe, be respectful, grow, help each other, work together, work hard and have a great year!
